Workplace Stress: A Huge Factor in Developing Type 2 Diabetes!

Stress is a natural thing, and can originate from numerous places, both personally and professionally. What stress does to the body is instigate changes in blood sugar level, something that can especially be detrimental to those currently living with diabetes.
Even more, according to a recent study published in Psychosomatic Medicine, individuals who experience high levels of workplace stress are 45% more likely to develop type 2 diabetes than those who have less taxing jobs.
This type of stress often comes from the feeling of helplessness, whether that be associated with certain tasks, or with the work environment itself. But don’t panic! Even though we may not be able to rid ourselves entirely of workplace stress, there certainly are ways to help manage it.
